I've run into an issue where I can't launch the game inside the main menu.
I have my original 90s copy of Dark Forces installed onto a secondary hard drive (not c: drive). I have been playing it using dosbox, but then I found out about this new port.
I've downloaded the port and placed the new directory inside of my Dark Forces instance. I can run The Force Engine and get to all of the initial menus. When it asks for the Game Source Data, it refuses to recognize Dark.exe as the source exe.
Is there another .exe I should be looking for? Is it a problem I'm not running off my C: drive? I realize that most people are probably running Steam versions and my copy is from 1996. I'm wondering if there is a file my older version doesn't have that The Force Engine is looking for? I'd appreciate some suggestions if anyone has run into this issue. Thanks
