Ok this is a feature I was wondering that would be possible after 1.0. Being able to apply one level's palette while the current level's palette is in use when creating levels? Like say I make a level for SECBASE, but I want the water texture to look right so I would apply the TALAY palette. Or having a texture converted instantly to look right even though it's using SECBASE's palette. Same could be applied to sprites. I'm sure a good number of us had to face many blue Kell Dragons. Just a thing I had in my head that I wanted to ask for some time.

With a "true color" mode this is possible, though there would need to be a way to identify which palette to use for a given resource. With "8-bit" color mode, however, you can only have one palette active at a time. Outlaws allowed the palette to be changed when entering a sector (used for underwater sections) but still would only display one at a time.
