This has been fixed but I'm adding a note here so there is a proper record. (I reported it on Discord only and that was enough for it to get fixed!)
I'm still playing the old (0.91) build, and stumbled on a cool bug
1. Go into a level
2. Turn on the IR goggles (F2)
3. quit the level without removing the IR goggles
4. Go into another level.
Everything is on full (level 32) brightness! No dark areas at all.
