Hi Marco. I can't open that attachment to view the text.
What DOSBOX file to I edit with notepad (and what is the exact location?) and what is the exact text I need to edit to test the 11khz?

Hi S'toper Tycho
You need to edit the dosbox.conf, search for the following lines.
nosound=false rate=44100 blocksize=1024 prebuffer=80
How to edit these thing is in the description in the file above these lines.

Please try out the 1.02 Release and let me know if you still experience sound issues. Note that you may need to change your Audio Output in the Sound menu to get proper audio in this release.

I have installed the latest version, chosen the correct sound output, and music and sound are outputting properly now. Here's another question ... has anyone messed with the game\files or Steam to make Steam launch the game through TFE instead? edited DosBox files and a few others (don't remember with ATM) for Tomb Raider I so Steam launches the modded version instead.

hi
@s'toper Tycho
Backup dosbox.exe , and rename the "TheForceEngine.exe" to dosbox.exe even , that all. But do avoid a File Veyfy in Steam !

Hi,
I backed up dosbox.exe. Then copied TheForceEngine.exe to the "DosBox" directory and renamed the TheForceEngine.exe to dosbox.exe. It did not work. Steam wouldn't launch it. When I physically double clicked it, it says the .DLL files where missing. So I copied all the TFE .ZIP file contents to the "DosBox" folder too and it fixed the problem. Steam now launches TFE. So this extra bit if info might be helpful to others wanting to launch TFE directly from Steam.
Thanks!
