I've been working on my own soundfont and was looking forward to trying it out with TFE. Everything works great, as expected, apart from the reverb. It's either very very low or completely disabled in TFE.
Here is a sample made using Virtual MIDI Synth built in MIDI file converter (what my system MIDI sounds like):
Here is a TFE in-game recording:
The latter is very flat and lifeless in comparison. Somewhere along the line the reverb, and perhaps chorus if setup the same in TFE, is being severely restricted.
(There are releases of Virtual MIDI Synth that have a similar problem, and the latest version I've found that doesn't restrict reverb and chorus is v2.10.1).

Pressing escape during play, bringing up the menu, pauses the music, some reverb trail can be heard, but it is a much smaller amount than is set in the soundfont:
Is TFE setup to use soundfonts properly with their individual preset/patch reverb settings intact, or does it bolt on a generic reverb to it's own stereo bus output or something? Are it's max reverb and chorus values set halfway, or anything other than the full 127 values? (Maybe I should've posted this under Bugs?).
Can anyone else please confirm if their soundfonts are played as expected, or if they're noticing a similar problem compared with system or DOSBox playback?
